For the German language philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein, the meaning of words is not in the words themselves. It is only created when they are used in a certain practical context. This also applies to specialist terms in the field of business administration. In this sense, this book is not a business administration encyclopedia with a large number of isolated, final definitions. Instead, it discusses basic issues of a modern theory of management using a differentiated model.
The new St.Gallen Management Model creates a differentiating reference framework. In other words, it provides a useful road map allowing many management terms to be understood in their overall context. Thus, no management recipes are offered, but a solid basic understanding of management. It will therefore be found to be very useful in coping with management challenges and gaining an in-depth understanding of business administration issues. |
